New Exhibition
Mar 15th, 2009 by woof

Our new exhibition was wonderfully launched on Saturday 15th March by Jim Roddy, Chief Executive, Derry City Centre Initiative. It show-cases the work of four yound Derry artists who are in the enviable position of having their work seen by a great many tourists. Not bad for a gallery that is pissed upon from a great height by local funding bodies and all dem dudes up at the Arts Council in Belfast. Tom Kelly, spokesman for The Bogside Artists said: “We no longer waste time wondering what crime we have committed on these people to be left out in the cold when it comes to funding. Nobody has done more for their community than The Bogside Artists. I state that as a simple fact. We motor on under our own steam as we have been doing for years. What is wrong with Northern Ireland is what is wrong with most places in the world – THE WRONG PEOPLE ARE IN THE WRONG JOBS AND USUALLY FOR THE WRONG REASONS. End of story.”
